Demonstrates clinical competency according to the standards of nursing practice within clinical specialty. Responsible for the development and implementation of clinical courses needed. Works with Nurse Managers to identify educational needs of nursing staff. Uses advanced knowledge and skills, functions as expert clinician and consultant to staff, patients and their families.
Current State of Hawaii RN License, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Master's Degree in Nursing preferred. Clinical focus as Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferred. National certification in appropriate specialty recommended.
Minimum two (2) years basic nursing experience in appropriate clinical specialty. Four years previous experience, preferred. Experience in educational program planning, development and evaluation.
